Frances Brucke Cape

Frances Brucke Cape, 80, of Simpsonville, died at home Wednesday, January 30, 2008. Born in Oconee County, she was a daughter of the late A.W.L. and Bessie Gibson Brucke and wife of the late Rufus E. Cape. Mrs. Cape was a homemaker, a member of Discover Church and the VFW Post 10330 Ladies Auxiliary. Surviving are two daughters, Doris Pigg Gary of Greenville, and Rebecca Cape Russell Boster of Proctorville, Ohio; two sons, Dennis Cape Eileen of Simpsonville, and Ralph Cape of Greenville; two brothers, William Brucke and Jack Brucke; a sister, Julia Oakley; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, Donald Cape; five brothers, Albert, D.A., Melvin, Robert, and James Brucke; and a sister, Minnie Dodd. The funeral service will be held Friday, February 1, 2008 at 3:00 pm at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest with visitation from 1:00 – 2:45 pm prior to the service. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, West. Memorials may be made to Discover Church, 505 S. Main Street, Mauldin, SC 29662 or the charity of one's choice. The family is at their respective homes.
