Frances Duncan Johnson

Frances Duncan Johnson, 101, widow of Marion E. Johnson, Sr., entered into peaceful rest on Friday, September 21, 2007 at her granddaughter?s residence. Born in Millett, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Joseph Henry and Virnie Kirkland Duncan. Mrs. Johnson was a member of Washington Street Methodist Church, Columbia. She was a big Gamecock Fan and loved to knit and garden. Her positive disposition impacted so many lives. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Phillip and Jean Johnson of Columbia; a granddaughter, Debi Garrison and her husband, Nelson; a grandson, Gary Johnson and his wife, Stacey; a granddaughter, Ginny Johnson of Charleston; three great grandchildren, Ali Hill and her husband, Chris, Ryan and Will Garrison; and two great great grandsons, Jackson and Sanders Hill all of Greenville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Winyah Hospice, 114B Hospital Drive, Simpsonville, SC 29681. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 23, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. at Talbert Shives Funeral Home, Columbia, S.C. Visitation will be held prior at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in St. Peter?s Cemetery.
