Frances Nicholson Bishop

Frances Nicholson Bishop, of 20 Mallory Street, formerly of Dover Road, Spartanburg, wife of Thad C. Bishop, died Thursday, January 26, 2006 at Greenville Memorial Medical Center after a brief illness. Born in Pickens County, she was the daughter of the late Claude G. and Maude Billingsley Nicholson. Mrs. Bishop was retired from the Aug W. Smith Company and was a member of Overbrook Baptist Church where she was in the Ruth Sunday School class and The Silver Threads. Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter-in-law, Rita Pace of Greenville; a step-daughter, Deborah Tiszai of Lake Wylie, SC; three sisters, Christine Nicholson of Easley, Ruth N. O?Donnell of Greenville, Rose Ann Albertson of Easley; a brother, Doyle H. Nicholson of Easley; five grandchildren, Terri Shobe, Michael, David, Eric, and Kevin Pace; and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Russell Pace, a son, James Larry Pace, and two brothers, Earl Nicholson and J. Harold Nicholson. Memorials may be made to the Overbrook Baptist Church Building Fund, 1705 E. North Street, Greenville, SC 29607. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, January 29, 2006 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Visitation will be held prior to the services from 2:00 until 2:45 PM at the funeral home, Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the residence.
