Furman Walker, 80, of 8507 White Horse Road, died on Friday, January 19, 2007 at his home. Born in Piedmont, he was the husband of Pauline Massey Walker, and he was a son of the late James B. and Lillian Lindsey Walker. Mr. Walker served in WWII in the US Army; he was retired from F.W. Poe Mill and he was a member of Wren Memorial Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to his wife, is a daughter, Patricia Ann Walker of the home; three sisters, Elizabeth Lesley, of Easley, Gladys Thornhill, of Cheapeake Bay, VA, Lessie Gesemari of Roseland, NJ; a brother, W.T. ?Jack? Walker of Greenville. Mr. Walker was predeceased by three sisters and three brothers. Funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest Chapel with burial in Graceland West Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-2:45 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wrenn Memorial Baptist Church, 120 Wren Road, Piedmont, SC 29673. The family will be at the residence.
