Gary Ellis Buff

December 14, 1945 - July 25, 2008
Gary Ellis Buff, 62, of 214 Drury Lane, husband of Susan Deal Buff, died Friday, July 25, 2008 at his residence. Born in Valdese, NC, he was the son of Leola Icard Buff of Valdese, NC and the late Ellis Harding Buff. Mr. Buff was a member of Temple Baptist Church, the VFW in Simpsonville and was a United States Army veteran. He enjoyed fishing and riding Harley's Surviving, in addition to his wife and mother, are five daughters, Lisa Blackmon of Clayton, NC, Beth Mumma and Rachel Roper both of Morganton, NC, Gari Herrell of Gray Court and Farrah Buff of Mauldin; a son, John Buff of Gray Court; a sister, Sheron Starnes of Granite Falls, NC; ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Saturday, July 26, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The funeral service will be held Sunday, July 27, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Temple Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the residence.
