Gene H. Johnson

Gene H. Johnson, 74, of 5 Wild Turkey Way, died on Tuesday, March 28, 2006. Born in Greenville County, he was the son of the late James Henry and Myrtle Keith Johnson. Mr. Johnson served in the U.S. Navy and was employed as project engineer with Cone Mills. He was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church in Taylors. Surviving are his wife, Reta Johnson; a daughter, Lynn Davis and husband Billy, of Greenville; two sons, Keith Johnson of Liberty, and Joel Johnson of Anderson; two step-daughters, Andrea Burgess and husband Steve of Easley, and Tonya Hilley of Greenville; two step-sons, Carlos Hilley and Todd Hilley, both of Greenville; a granddaughter, Natasha Lamb; five step-grandchildren; and a step-great-grandson. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 7:00 ? 8:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. Services will be held on Friday at 3:00 p.m. at Pleasant View Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry K. Raynes officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Pleasant View Christian Academy, 110 Old Rutherford Road, Taylors, SC 29687. The family is at the residence.
