George Christian “Chris” Frank III, born on May 25, 1967, tragically passed away in an accident on May 5, 2024, in Simpsonville, SC. He was a beloved son, husband, father, brother, and respected Vice President of Global Operations with B W Flexible Systems.

A native of Cleveland, OH, Chris diligently pursued his education earning a Bachelor’s degree from Purdue University where he served as president of Theta XI Fraternity and then a Master’s degree from John Carroll University. His commitment to education was matched only by his devotion to family. He leaves behind his loving wife, Donna Frank; two sons, Christian and Patrick; and his daughter, Lucina.

An active member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, Chris was an avid Cleveland sports fan cheering for the Browns, the Cavaliers, and the Guardians. He also was passionate spectator of European Futbol and American Football. However, his greatest joy was watching his children excel in their passions whether dance, choir, swimming, soccer, or orchestra.

Chris’s passing has also deeply affected his father, George Frank, Jr. and step-mother, Grace Frank; his siblings, Rick, Meg, and Trish; as well as many nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Chris was preceded in death by his mother, Margrethe Frank.

A Vigil Service will be held at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Southeast on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. with visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church on May 10th at 10:00 a.m. to honor Chris’s life and legacy. Following the Mass, he will be laid to rest at Graceland East Memorial Park.

Chris will be remembered for his dedication to his work, love for his family, and unwavering faith. May he rest in peace.

If you are lucky, you may get to meet someone who is truly inspirational, who edifies, encourages and inspires those around him. Chris was such a man. From the moment I met him, I knew he was special. When he was my leader, he gave me what I needed to succeed. He showed me how to be not just a better leader and employee, but a better person. Throughout the time I knew him, I never left a conversation with him, without feeling better for having spent time talking with him. He always had something nice to say, or a genuine interest in something I cared about. I will cherish those conversations always. Losing Chris so suddenly is hard. But I will think of him often, remember the wisdom he shared with me, and anticipate the day I see him again in heaven; and I will smile.

Chris was my first roommate at Theta Xi, room 13. A memory that stands out and a story I still tell to this day, are the times Chris, Rick, Eric and I would play the game Blades of Steel. The game was played “full contact”, if you checked a player in the game you checked the player on the sofa. Frequent choruses of the Haams Beer song would be heard full volume anytime a new beer was cracked. Even though we only saw each other a couple times after graduating Purdue, I still considered him a close friend. Chris will be missed by all that knew him.
