George Franklin Glenn

Master Sergeant Retired, George Franklin Glenn, 77, formerly of 210 Clemson Avenue, died Monday, February 26, 2007 at Oakmont East Nursing Center. Born in Union, he was a son of the late Charlie A. and Sena Clara Smith Glenn and husband of the late Sarah Ruth Brock Glenn. Mr. Glenn retired from the U.S. Air Force where he served during the Vietnam War and also retired from Greenville Hospital System. He was a member of Russell Memorial Presbyterian Church, Dunean Masonic Lodge #359, Ticoma Chapter #140, O.E.S. in Marietta and was Past Worthy Patron of Laurel Chapter #51 in Savannah, GA. Surviving are a daughter, Darlene Glenn, of Greenville; two grandsons, Jamie Wayne McAllister and Samuel Clyde McAllister; and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Tony Wayne McAllister; and two brothers, James A. and Henry Glenn. Visitation will be Thursday from 7:00 ? 8:30 pm at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. Services will be Friday at 1:30 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Grand View Memorial Gardens with full military and Masonic rites. Memorials may be made to Russell Memorial Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 31 Calhoun Avenue, Greenville, SC 29617. The family is at 210 Clemson Avenue.
