George Thomas Campbell, 89, of 409 Darlington Avenue, widower of Hazel Sanders Campbell, died Sunday April 9, 2006 at Greenville Memorial Medical Center. Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late John and Eva Glascoe Campbell. Mr. Campbell was a retired Pharmacist with Shaw?s Pharmacy and was a member of Monaghan Baptist Church. He was a United States Army Veteran having served during WWII. He was a Combat Medic in the Normandy Invasion for which he received the Bronze Star. Surviving are a brother, Ralph J. Campbell of Greenville and many loving friends. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Campbell and a sister, Juanita Campbell. Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels, 15 Oregon Street, Greenville, SC 29605. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 11, 2006 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at 12:00 pm in Remembrance Chapel of Woodlawn Memorial Park. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
