George W. Bailey

G.W. Bailey, 72, of 170 Walkers Hill Road, husband of Mary Rathburn Bailey, died Sunday, September 17, 2006 at his daughter?s residence. Born in Pickens County, he was a son of the late Lawrence and Marie White Bailey. Mr. Bailey was retired from Armin Plastic. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Steven Bailey and his wife Janet of West Union; three daughters, Sherry Justice of Greenville, Peggy Lee and Keith Brady of Greenville, Vicky Fowler of Pelzer; six grandchildren; a sister, Louise Osteen of Greenville; and a brother, Roy Bailey of Greenville. He was preceded in death by two brothers, George and Carl Bailey. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 19, 2006 from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. in the downtown chapel. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery, West. The family will be at their respective homes.
