Georgia Elizabeth Knick Horne, 81, of 152 Bradley Blvd. went to be with the Lord on July 16, 2004. Born in Norfork, VA, she was a daughter of the late Stanley G. Sr. and Emma Elizabeth Knoderer Knick. She attended Bob Jones University. Before her retirement, she was a secretary and typesetter with The Gospel Hour. Mrs. Horne was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church where she served as pianist/organist for over 20 years. Surviving are her husband, Rev. Ralph Micajah Horne of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Ruth and George Spivey of Greenville; a granddaughter, Kathy Spivey of Greenville; a grandson, Don Spivey of Greenville; a brother and sister-in-law, Stanley and Jane Knick of Danville, VA; a sister, Dorothy Kissiah of Chesapeake, VA; a sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Barry Herbert of Chesapeake, VA; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Donald and Vivian Horne of Doerun, GA, and Franklin and Betty Bell of Donalsonville, GA. Memorials may be made to Tabernacle Children?s Home, 3931 White Horse Road, Greenville, SC or The Gospel Hour, P.O. Box 2024, Greenville, SC 29602. Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 noon Monday at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 3931 White Horse Road, with entombment at Remembrance Chapel of Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family is at the residence.

I have wonderful memories of Mrs. Horne. She was a blessing to me as our pastor's wife at the time I came to know the Lord. I thank the Lord that she and Pastor Horne cared enough about our family to reach out to us with the gospel and to keep reaching
