Geurney E Moore

Geurney E Moore, husband of the late Evangeline Petty Moore, passed from this life on Sunday, December 2, 2007, at the age of 95. He was blessed with good health for most of his life and remained active until the last several weeks. Born in Columbia, he was the son of the late George and Ella Perry Moore. Mr. Moore was a retired bus driver with City Coach Lines and a member of Calvary First Baptist Church and the Steadfast Sunday School Class. Surviving are a daughter, Eva Marie Lowry and husband Philip of Greenville, a son, Perry E. Moore and wife Sherri of Ware Shoals; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeannine Phillips and a grandson, P. Geoffrey Lowry, Jr. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary First Baptist Church, 11 Tampa St., Greenville, SC 29609 or Meals on Wheels, 15 Oregon St., Greenville, SC 29605. Visitation will be held in Remembrance Chapel at Woodlawn Memorial Park on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 12:30 p.m. with the Reverend Roger Plemmons officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will be at their respective homes.
