Glenn McGee Holbrooks

Glenn M. Holbrooks, 89, of 119 Oak Drive, died Friday, December 8, 2006. Born in Oconee County, he was a son of the late Lee and Margaret Moore Holbrooks. He attended Trinity Baptist Tabernacle, 824 Piedmont Highway, Piedmont. Mr. Holbrooks worked for J. P. Stevens, Dunean Mill. Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Annie Lucille Butts Holbrooks; four daughters, Peggy Chasteen, of Piedmont, Pat Lockaby and Mary Brock, both of Cape Girardeau, MO, and Barbara Holbrooks, of Greenville; six sons, Jacky, Michael, Richard and Donald Holbrooks, all of Piedmont, David Holbrooks, of Easley, and Wayne Holbrooks, of Simpsonville; two sisters, Geneva Smith and Shirley King; a brother, Truman Holbrooks; 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 12 noon on Monday at Trinity Baptist Tabernacle. Visitation will be held Sunday from 4:00 to 5:30 pm at the church. Burial will be in Greenville Memorial Gardens. The family is at the residence. Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest, is handling the arrangements.
