Grace Burnette Johnson

Grace Burdette Johnson, 96, of 8714 White Horse Road, died Friday, October 21, 2005 at St. Francis Hospital, Downtown. A lifelong resident of Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late Ralph M. and Edith Snow Burdette, and the wife of the late Claude N. Johnson, Sr. Mrs. Johnson was a member of Berea Friendship United Methodist Church and the Ruth Bible Class. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Claude N. Johnson, Jr. and Joy Johnson of Greenville; two sisters, Onie L. Burdette and Eva B. Kinnett of Greenville; three grandchildren, Debra Sparrow, Cliff Johnson and Sherri Ray; and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Johnson was predeceased by three sisters, Mary Snoddy, Blanche Brockman and Sara Granger, and a brother, Paul Burdette. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 2:45 p.m. Monday at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest, with funeral services at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
