Cousin Barron was the ultimate gentleman and such a sweetheart. I loved to listen to his stories about his growing up in the Ekom section of Laurens County with my Mom who was his first cousin and favorite playmate. Once, he told us about the cracks in the cabin walls they lived in and that falling snow would come inside! He accomplished quite a lot and came a long way from those days. I will surely miss his visits.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Barron’s family. I went to Eastlan Baptist with Barron and Doris and with his brother Edsel at Laurens First Baptist. They were a wonderful family. He was a devoted Christian gentleman.
