Harold Alexander Burns, 73, of 279 Earle Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 16, 2008.
Born in Cedar Mountain, NC, he was the son of the late Street W. and Roxie M. Burns.
Mr. Burns was a USMC veteran, member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, the church choir, and also sang with the Burns Trio for over fifty years. He is survived by Dora Lee Burns and son, Tim Burns and his wife, Michelle; grandchildren, Britney, Logan, Hunter and Amanda. He is also survived by three sisters, Naomi B. Kelley, Bonnie B. McGaha, and Hazel B. Davis, three brothers, Perry W. Burns, C.J. Burns and Jim Burns; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday, September 18, 2008 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest.
The funeral service will be Friday, September 19, 2008 at 2:00 pm at Tabernacle Baptist Church, Greenville.
Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, West.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tabernacle Baptist Church, Piano Fund, 3931 White Horse Road Greenville, SC 29611-5546.
The family will be at 106 Shelton Road, Travelers Rest, SC.
