Harold Copeland Spivey

Harold Copeland Spivey, 88, of 303 Elizabeth Drive, died Saturday, April 8, 2006. Mr. Spivey was the husband of Bettie Loveland Spivey and the son of the late Grady and Mellie Merritt Spivey. Prior to his retirement, he was a salesman for McMahan Shoes. Mr. Spivey was a member of Lee Road Baptist Church where he was a member of the McGaffic Sunday School Class. In addition to his beloved wife of 70 wonderful years, he is survived by his daughter, Esther Hand; two grandsons, Alan Duncan and his wife Celia of Sugar Hill, GA, and Joe Hand, Jr. and his wife Heather of Taylors, SC; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mildred Gordon of Greenville. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, April 10, 2006 in the chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Visitation will be held from 12:00 ? 1:15 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Lee Road Baptist Church Bus Ministry, 1503 E. Lee Road, Taylors, SC 29687. The family will be at the residence.
