Harold Dean Holcombe, 85, devoted husband of 64 years to Gladys Holcombe, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, April 25, 2022.
Born in Greenville, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Walter and Susie Holcombe. Harold was a United States Navy Veteran where he served on the U.S.S. Hector AR-7 repair ship.
Harold was a world-class Taxidermist, mounting a wide variety of trophies including African game. Some of his mounts are featured in Roper Mountain Science Center, Clemson Department of Natural Resources, and Heritage Education Trailers.
Harold had an intimate relationship with Jesus and was a strong man of God. He was always an inspiration for anyone who met him, and knew the value and power of prayer.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his children, Roxann Hopkins (Henry), Letitia Holcombe; grandchildren Jason Beheler (Cat), Keith Campbell; his sisters Norma Hendricks (Dan), Shelby Ross and numerous other loving family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his brother Furman Holcombe, and sister Better Crumley.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, April 28, at 10:30 a.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park and officiated by Pastor Tim Yale.
