Harriet Marie Love, 100, of Greenville,South Carolina, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, January 18, 2021 at NHC Healthcare.

She was born on August 6, 1920 to Reinhold and Freida Schultz of Detroit, Michigan, and was pre-deceased by her husband, Robert Love, originally of Huntington, WV. She was a missionary wife in Jamaica for 18 years, and following that, supported her husband in his pastoral ministry at the First Baptist Church of Chesapeake, Ohio for 26 years. Her love of music was eclipsed only by her love for her Lord and family, and her piano teaching and playing blessed countless people of all ages throughout her lifetime. She continued her musical ministry at Hampton Park Baptist Church and a teaching piano studio until the age of 90.

She is survived by two daughters, Joyce Thomas of Centreville, VA, and Joan Parker of Belton, SC, along with granddaughters Bridgette Thomas, Natalie Parker Mowbray and Tessa Parker Pinner.

She is rejoicing in Heaven with granddaughter, Emily Parker Sims, who preceded her
there in March, 2020.

She was interred at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Barboursville, WV beside her beloved husband.

A memorial service will be held Friday, June 25, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Downtown Chapel.

May the Lord comfort the Parker Family at this time. I shared many happy times with Harriet in Prayer Pals, Sunday school class, and Power Company at HPBC. and game days! She was hard to beat at Scrabble!

In 2004 at Grace Gospel Church Huntington, W.Va. your sweet mother joined us for the 25th anniversary of our Women's Missionary Fellowship. What a joy as she shared her talent on the piano with us and her memories of the days she and your father spent at Grace under Pastor Mel Efaw. That was our first meeting with your mom but it was like we had known each other all our lives. Such a wonderful example of God's love she has left for you. I often wondered if she ever made a tape of her piano playing...would love to hear her again. With our prayers for His comfort.....Leon, Sandy Holderby and family.

Joan and Joyce, I am so sorry to hear of your loss but rejoice in your Mom’s home going. I have tried several times to contact you, Joan, but to not avail. I would love to catch up with you both!
