Hazel Bowen Corn, 99, wife of the late Carl “Popcorn” Corn, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 4, 2021.
Born in Calhoun, GA, she was a daughter of the late William and Lillie White Bowen.
Mrs. Corn, member of Truth Missionary Baptist Church, was a Godly lady who loved gospel music. She enjoyed walking and her belief was “The secret to life is movement”.
She is survived by granddaughters, Andrea Stewart and Shannon (Keith) Brock; grandson, Colonel Stacey (Leanna) Corn; great granddaughters, Jessica (Jose) Arizmendi and Megan Corn; great grandson, Trevor Corn; great great granddaughter, Jazmyn Hunt; and daughter-in-law, Mary Elgin Corn.
In addition to her parents and loving husband, she was preceded in death by daughter, Shirley McKee; son, Ronald Corn; sister, Helen Kerns; great granddaughter, Tiffany Nichole Hill; and brothers, J.M. and Ed Bowen; and grandson-in-law, Robert Hill.
A public visitation will be held Monday, June 07, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Northwest. The Funeral Service will be Tuesday, June 08, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Northwest. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery West.
