Hazel Howell Adams Sloan

Hazel Howell Adams Sloan, 83, died Monday, May 26, 2008. Born in Easley, she was the daughter of the late Lucious T. and Sallie Moore Howell. Ms. Sloan retired from Stone Manufacturing after forty-three years of service, and was a member of Mountain Creek Baptist Church since 1957 where she was a member in WMU. Surviving is her daughter, Sharron Voyles; a son, Phil Adams and wife Lynn; grandchildren, Amanda Howe, Ken Voyles, Robert Adams, Chris Adams; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Schell, Grant Schell and Marshall Coffman; sister, Betty Jean Pickett; sister-in-law, Carol Howell. She was predeceased by her first husband, Frank Adams; second husband, Boyce Sloan; brother, Bobby T. Howell; and son-in-law, Lloyd Voyles. A committal service will be held at Graceland Cemetery West Mausoleum on Thursday, May 29, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest, with visitation following the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Sara Gossett Retirement Center, 27 Conestee Ave., Greenville, SC 29605 The family will be located at 17 Calmar Court, Greenville, SC.
