Hazel Mae Tucker, 93, beloved wife of the late Jack Tucker, passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2022.

Born in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Noah and Mae Waters Lowe.

Hazel was a member of Second Baptist Church. She and her husband, Jack owned and operated Tucker’s Soda Shop a local favorite in Greenville for many years.

She is survived by her sister, Lois Harris and nieces, Debbie Norris, Wanda Lowe, Jennie Martin and Bonnie Bingham; several great nieces, nephews and great great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jackie Tucker.

A visitation will be held Thursday, January 27, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:15 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Northwest, with a funeral service to follow at 2:30 p.m. in the Northwest Chapel. Burial will be held in Graceland Cemetery West .

Hazel Jack and Jackie were all wonderful people. I am so sorry for your loss. I remember when I was a young teenager working 2 nd shift I would stop in at Tuckers and get something to eat. Anytime I dude t have enough money to pay for a book Hazel would say you can pay when you get your check cashed. They had the best hamburger steaks with gravy and onions. I loved them.
