Helen Miller Lindley

Helen Miller Lindley, 87, widow of Clyde Lindley, died Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at Oakmont East Nursing Center. Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Pearl Burgess Miller. Mrs. Lindley was a homemaker and member of Choice Hills Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Woody Pitt of Greenville, Peggy and Steve Dacus of Greer; seven grandchildren, Van Pitt, Dana P. Lewis, Chad Pitt, Ty Dacus, Stephanie D. Ferguson, Tonda L. Bagwell and Mardy Lindley; eight great grandchildren; a sister, Gladys Simpson and a brother, Arthur "Bud" Miller both of Taylors. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Clyde "Butch" Lindley, Jr. and seven siblings. Flowers are welcomed and memorials may be made to Choice Hills Baptist Church Mission Fund, 5910 Old Buncombe Road, Greenville, SC 29609. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 1, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The funeral service will be held Friday, May 2, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. in the downtown chapel. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
