Holman Freeman Cheek, Jr., 84, of 113 Swindon Circle, husband of Audrey Holmes Cheek, died Sunday, March 05, 2006 at Greenville Memorial Medical Center. Born in Homer, GA., he was the son of the late Holman Freeman Cheek, Sr. and Marjorie Garrison Cheek. Mr. Cheek was retired co-owner of Freeman and Cheek Garage and was a member of Edgewood Church of Christ. He was a United States Army Veteran having served during WWII. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two daughters and son-in-law, Sandra Amick of Taylors, Diane and Al Sanders of Harstville, SC.; a brother, William Manson Cheek of Mobile, AL.; a sister, Juanita Lawless of Greenville; four grandchildren, Nathan McCall and Brandi McCall both of Taylors; A.J. Sanders of Hartsville, SC., Ali Hill of Greenville; five great grandchildren, Anna , Ryan, and Jacob McCall, Jackson and Sanders Hill. He was preceded in death by a sister, Eva Lou Caudell and a brother, James Roy Cheek. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 1131, Fairfax, VA 22038-1131. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 07, 2006 from 6:00 until 7:30 PM at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 08, 2006 at 12:00 PM in the downtown chapel. Burial will follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the residence.
