Howard P. Groves

Howard Perry Groves, 90, died on Monday, October 24, 2005. Born in Hayesville, NC he was a son of the late Andrew and Lacie Kitchens Groves and husband of the late Irene McIntyre Groves. Mr. Groves served in the U.S. Army during WWII and retired from J.P. Stevens Co. after thirty-four years of service. Surviving are a niece, Mary Elizabeth Sigmon, of Mars Hill, NC; and a nephew, H. Paul McIntyre, of Easley. He is predeceased by two brothers, Carl and Bud Groves. Services will be held on Thursday at 12 Noon at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest with visitation from 10:30 ? 11:45 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, West. The family is at 118 Wicklow Ct., Easley.
