Ione Thompson Mizell

Ione Mizell, 87, wife of Clyde Mizell, went home to be with the Lord on June 7, 2006. Mrs. Mizell was born on July 22, 1918, in South Dakota and spent many of her adult years in Freeport, IL. She was retired from Microswitch, a division of Honeywell. Mrs. Mizell was a member of Hampton Park Baptist Church. She enjoyed her grandchildren and was an avid gardener. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a sister, Margaret Carter of Freeport, IL.; three sons and daughters-in-law, Brent and Sharon Mizell of Birmingham, AL., Bruce and Lise Mizell of Greenville, and Clark and Katherine Mizell of Gray Court; eight grandchildren, Drew Mizell, Ryan Mizell, Rachel Mizell, Matthew Mizell, Jessica Mizell Franseen, Nathan Mizell, Meredith Mizell, Jonathan Mizell; and one great grandchildren, Abriana Mizell. Memorials may be made to Men for Missions Teams Ministry, c/o Hampton Park Baptist Church, 875 State Park Road, Greenville, SC 29609. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, June 11, 2006 at 3:00 pm at Hampton Park Baptist Church. Visitation will be held prior to the services from 1:30 pm until 2:45 pm at the church.
