Jack Earl Bailey, 70, husband of Joyce McCoy, died Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at Self Regional Hospital. Born in Greenville County, he was the son of the late William E. and Bertie Stewart Bailey. Mr. Bailey was a truck driver with Thurston Motor Lines and member of Bethlehem Union Church. He loved fishing and his grandchildren. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Cheryl Hawkins and husband Robin of Travelers Rest; a son, Jack E. Bailey Jr., and fiancée Lynn of Laurens; three grandchildren, Josh Roddy, Justin and Bailey Hawkins; three great grandchildren; and eight brothers Robert, Doyle, Roger, Carroll, David, Larry Wayne and Gary; and a sister Shirley McCall. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Renee bailey and two brothers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Bethlehem Union Church, 4628 Riverfork Rd., Waterloo, SC 29384. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Visitation will follow. The family will be at the home of Carroll and Lydia Bailey, 70 Skyview Drive, Travelers Rest, SC.
