I was Jack's dental hygienist for many years. He was actually scheduled to see me today and when I saw his number was disconnected, I searched this out. it makes my heart sad to not see him on this earth again. He always kept me laughing with his many stories, especially about the ROMEO club. We have celebrated his birthdays in the office before with special treats. I will miss his big hugs too. I know he is now celebrating in heaven.

I worked with Jack at Cryovac for over 20 years. We spent a lot of time together over the years and were good friends I remember going by his house one day and I had my son with me. There were chickens in the yard and my son loved them. Before we left Jack insisted that my son take a rooster with him. He loaded the rooster in my car along with a small bag of feed. We decided to name the rooster RuViDu after Russ, Vivian (my wife) and Duane (our son). Within 2 days we figured out two things. RuViDu had a broken clock. He would crow 24/7. Also he loved to roost on our deck and relieve himself there. He lasted about a week until we handed him off to a neighbor that loved him I know for a fact that Jack is in the presence of Jesus today Well done my good and faithful servant.

I remember when your mom and dad visited my grandparents after Mema and Pop made the move from SC to our area in North Carolina. It was special visiting with them, and I know Mema was happy to have her brother there. I smile thinking of Uncle Jack's reunion in heaven with Aunt Myrtle, Momzi, and all those brothers and sisters already there. I pray that brings you joy and peace, too. Love you!
