Jacob Ed Allen

Jacob Ed Allen, 91, formerly of 64 7th street, Woodside, widower of Bessie Reynolds Allen, died Monday, September 4, 2006 at Oakmont West Living Center. Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late Madison C. and Rachel Willis Allen. Mr. Allen was retired from Woodside Mill and was a member of Woodside Baptist Church. He was a Untied States Army Veteran, having served during WWII, and was a member of the Brandon Masonic Lodge #279. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Roddy Howard of Greenville; a daughter-in-law, Sandy Allen of Greenville; grandchildren, Lee Russ, Lynne and Shannon Corley, Lane Allen; great grandchild, Jacob Paul Corley. He was preceded in death by a son, Reverend Clarence R. Allen; five brothers and six sisters. Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, September 6, 2006 at Graceland Cemetery, West. Visitation will follow at the graveside. The family will be at the home of his daughter, Pat Howard, 64 7th Street, Woodisde. Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest.
