Jacob “Jake” Petri

Jacob ?Jake? Petri, 82, of 708 Miller Road, husband of Joy Bailey Petri, went home to be with his Heavenly Father Monday, February 13, 2006 at his residence. Born in Brentwood, Long Island, NY., he was the son of the late Michael and Barbara Becker Petri. Mr. Petri was a member of Mauldin First Baptist Church and the Charles Roberts Sunday School class. He was also a United States Army Veteran having served during WWII in Europe. Surviving in addition to his wife are five stepchildren, Loretta Lovelace and her husband Bill of Dacusville, Lisa Bailey and Teresa Bailey both of Fountain Inn, Ken Bailey and his wife Gail of Greenville, Gary Bailey of Greenville; ten step grandchildren and six step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Edwina Petri; a son, Gary Petri; and two brothers. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mauldin First Baptist Church, Mission Team, 150 South Main Street, Mauldin, SC 29662. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, February 16, 2006 at 12:00 noon at Mauldin First Baptist Church. Visitation will be held prior to the services from 11:00 until 11:45 AM at the church. There will also be a visitation at 2:00 PM Thursday at Pendleton United Methodist Church with committal to follow in the church cemetery. The family will be at the residence.
