James Albert Holcomb

James Albert Holcomb, 83, of 608 Willimon Drive, died on Wednesday, December 28, 2005. Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late James Albert Holcomb, Sr. and Addie Jane Godfrey Holcomb and husband of the late Mildred Beatrice Bridges Holcomb. Mr. Holcomb served in the U.S. Navy and retired from Face Mate. He was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are four daughters, Virginia George of Williamston, Carolyn Nyman of Greenville, Darlene Kelley of Griffin, GA, and Theresa Patterson and husband Tim of Greenville; three sisters, Ruby Chastain of Simpsonville, Elsie Wilson of Fountain Inn, and Margaret Henderson of Piedmont; a brother, Lawrence Holcomb, of Jonesboro, GA; twelve grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday from 7:00 ? 8:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. Services will be held on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, West. The family is at the home of a daughter Theresa Patterson, 301 Saluda Dam Road, Greenville.
