James Benjamin Henson

James ?Jimmy? Benjamin Henson, 79, of 143 Oak Hill Drive, died on Tuesday, June 6, 2006. Born in Spartanburg, he was the son of the late J.B. and Bessie Mae Clayton. Mr. Henson served in the US Navy during WWII and was owner of Henson Produce and former owner of Florida Orange Store. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife of fifty-five years, Peggy Jean Rue Henson, of the home; and six nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a daughter, Wanda Henson, and a son, Butch Henson. Services will be held on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest with visitation from 2:00 ? 2:45 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church, 14 Deering Street, Greenville, SC 29605. The family is at the residence.
