James Bernard Madray, Jr

James "Jim" Bernard Madray, Jr., 79, of 31 W. Tallulah Dr., Greenville died Saturday, August 2, 2008 at his residence. Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late James B. Madray, Sr. and Lydia Chandler Madray. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a Real Estate Lease Manager with Fairway Outdoor Advertising for 46 years. He was a member of Second Baptist Church, Greenville. Mr. Madray was also a member of Walden Lodge #274 AFM. Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Rachel Dickard Madray, of the home; three sons, James Steven Madray and wife Sherry of Brown Summitt, NC, Ron C. Madray of Greenville, and Russ Madray and wife Beth of Greenville; six grandchildren, Kelly, Eric, Brandon, Anna, Chandler, and Rachel Madray; and three great-grandchildren, Alex, Kaylee, and Taylor. Visitation will be held Sunday from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The Funeral Service will be held Monday at 1:30 pm in the Downtown Chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Second Baptist Church, Greenville, 304 Camperdown Way, Greenville, SC 29601 or to Open Arms Hospice, 1836 W. Georgia Rd., Simpsonville, SC 29680. The family is at the residence, 31 W. Tallulah Dr., Greenville, SC 29605.
