James Fletcher McAlister, Jr

James Fletcher "Mac" McAlister, Jr., 67, died Wednesday, May 7, 2008. Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late James F. and Eufaula Whitfield McAlister and widower of Sandra J. McCall McAlister. Mr. McAlister was a retired sergeant with the South Carolina Highway Patrol and a member of Foothills Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Christa McAlister Eskew and Karla McAlister; a son, Jason McAlister; four grandchildren, Emaleigh and Braden Eskew, and Aubrie and Hunter McAlister; and a sister, Jacqueline McAlister. He was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Ann McAlister. Memorials may be made to Foothills Baptist Church, 1204 N. Highway 25, Travelers Rest, SC 29690. Visitation will be held Friday, May 9, 2008 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The funeral service will be held on Saturday at noon in the Downtown Chapel. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
