James Frank Bishop, 89, husband of the late Edith G. Bishop, of Greenville, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 9, 2018.
Born in Pickens County, he was a son of the late J.B. and Nannie Belle Jones Bishop.
Mr. Bishop served in the United States Army. He retired from the Gulf Oil Company as a shop foreman.
He is survived by one daughter, Connie Wilson (Brian) of Taylors; three sisters, Bessie Bridges of Marion, N.C., Eloise Brown of Surfside Beach, and Ruth Leslie of Liberty; one brother, Fred Bishop of Greenville; and two grandsons, Marc Wilson (Gabrielle) of Greenville, and Chris Wilson of Taylors.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Dot Miller and Sarah Padgett; and one brother, Irel Bishop.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, March 13, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest, with the funeral service following at 1:30 p.m. in the Northwest Chapel. Burial will be held in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Caris Healthcare Hospice, 111 Smith Hines Rd # D, Greenville, SC 29607.
Family will be at the residence, 4 Hampshire Drive, Taylors, SC 29687.
