James ?Jimmy? Fred Jones, Jr., 77, of 929 Medora Drive, husband of Mary James Jones, died Sunday, November 12, 2006 at his residence. Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late James Fred Jones, Sr. and Cora Bell King Jones. Mr. Jones was retired from Bellsouth and was a member of the Bellsouth Pioneers. He was a member of White Oak Baptist Church and was a United States Marine Veteran. Surviving, in addition to his wife of 57 years, are three daughters, Dana Ellenburg and her husband Doug of Greer, Debbie Kirkley and her husband Jerry of Powdersville, Leslie Meeks of Greer; a son, James Fred Jones, III and his wife Kellee of Greenwood; six grandchildren; and two sisters, Alice Zachary and Helen Wiley both of Greenville. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Jonathan ?Jon? Ellenburg. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 16, 2006 from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. in Remembrance Chapel at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Services will follow at 1:30 p.m. in Remembrance Chapel. The family will be at the residence.
