James Fred Phillips, Sr, 75, beloved husband of Tammy Phillips, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2024.
Born in Greenville, SC, he was the son of the late William and Mildred Childress Phillips.
Fred was the owner and operator of P & P Cabinet Shop in Greenville. He made a lasting impact on all who knew him, not just through his role as an esteemed member of the community, but also as a faithful member of New Beginnings Church of God. He was a licensed NASCAR driver who raced for many years at Greenville Pickens Speedway.
He will forever be remembered for his dedication to his family, his work, and his church. He leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and faith that will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to know him.
In addition to his wife of 13 years, he is survived by sons, James Fred Phillips, Jr. (Gina), and Adam Phillips (Leann); grandchildren, Marissa and Brad Hoffman, James Phillips, and Sophie; great grandchildren, Aiden, Jaiden, Kennedy, and Aria; sister, Donna Phibbs; and brother, Bobby Phillips.
A visitation will be held Thursday, April 18, 2024, from 11:30 a.m. until 1:15 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Northwest with the funeral service to follow at 1:30 p.m. Entombment will be held in Graceland East Memorial Park Mausoleum.
