James Grady Williams

James Grady Williams, 85, of 812 Old River Road, widower of Clara Marsengill Williams, died Friday, March 17, 2006. Born in Demorest, GA., he was the son of the late James Ernest Williams and Anna Sullins Johnson. Mr. Williams was retired from Cely Construction Company and was of the Baptist faith. He was a United States Army Veteran having served during WWII. Surviving are eight daughters, Patricia Kunz of Austin, TX, Barbara Smith of Greenville, Sharon Redding of Greenville, Brenda Cooper of Piedmont, Sheila Duncan of Greenville, Gail Williams of Piedmont, Marsha Williams of Mauldin, Shannah Easter of Piedmont; three sons, Keith Williams of Macon, GA, Garry Williams of Piedmont, Chris Williams of Greenville; 23 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three sons, Ken, Ronald, and Barry Williams. Visitation will be held Saturday, March 18, 2006 from 6:00 until 7:30 pm at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Graveside services will be conducted Sunday, March 19, 2006 at 3:00 pm at Greenville Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the residence.
