James H. Westmoreland, Sr., 82, of 113 Old Keith Court, Mauldin, died February 18, 2007. Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late Louis V. Westmoreland and Pauline Herron Westmoreland, and husband of Sara Cox Westmoreland. Mr. Westmoreland was a retired truck driver and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Kay and Harry Kent of Iva, Lynne and Steve Murrell of Simpsonville, JoAnne and Ken Raycroft of The Woodlands, TX; a son, James H. Westmoreland, Jr. of Simpsonville; eight grandchildren, Angela and Chris Lee, Bryan and Tonia Kent, Stacy Murrell, Katelyn Murrell, Patrick McGinnis, Zachary Westmoreland, John Raycroft and Sarah Raycroft; five great-grandchildren, Caroline, Mikayla, and Grace Kent, Nathaniel and Nicholas Lee. Funeral Services will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown, with visitation prior to the service from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. Family will be at the residence. Memorials may be made to Open Arms Hospice, 414-A Pettigru St., Greenville, SC 29601 or a charity of ones choice.
