James Jarred Grover, 86, loving husband of Lila Morgan Grover, died Saturday, August 21, 2021.

Born in Ione, CA, he was a son of the late Earl and Ruby Grover.

James proudly served in the U.S. Army and was a devoted member of Fellowship Baptist Church. His godly heritage will live on with his children, nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was a cheerful and hardworking man that was always looking for ways to help others and never met a stranger that he didn’t befriend.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by sons, Jerry M Grover, and Douglas E Grover; daughter, Melanie VanReijn; brother, Thomas Grover; and sister, Ruth Gibson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Throssel, Dorothy Stacey, and brother, Bill Grover.

A private graveside service will be held.

Lila, we just heard about Jim's transfer to Heaven. Please know that Bonnie and I are praying for you during this special time.

I will truly miss him. He was a great help when we first moved here and was always there with some witty humor. I will miss him. Prayers for the family as I know you are greatly missing him.
