James K. Fry

James K. Fry, 86, devoted husband of Faye Lark Lindley Fry, went to be with his Lord and Savior, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, August 14, 2021.

Born in Gainesville, GA, he was a son of the late Hendrick and Margie Burrell Fry.

James proudly served his country in the United Sates Air Force and was a member of Washington Baptist Church.

He was an amazing son, brother, husband, dad, “Papa”, cousin, and friend. James was known to be a sweet, loving, strong willed and slightly stubborn man. He was one of the sharpest dressed men in the area – one would even say the crease in his blue jeans was so crisp it could cut you.

In addition to his wife of 16 years, James’ legacy will continue on with his three wonderful children, Cynthia Fry of Greer, Teresa Septor and husband, Grey, of FL, and James Fry and wife, Deb of Taylors; daughter-in-law, Deborah Fry of Taylors; ten precious grandchildren, and eighteen adoring great-grandchildren.

James was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara R. Fry; loving son, David Fry; grandson, Garrett Fry; and three brothers, Roy, Ben, and Doug Fry.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, August 18, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Downtown. The Funeral Service will be Thursday, August 19th at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel followed by entombment in Graceland East Memorial Park Mausoleum.
