James Odell Coln

James Odell Coln, 93, of 1180 Haywood Road, died Saturday, January 14, 2006. A Greenville native, Mr. Coln was the widower of Blanche McDowell Coln and the son of the late William Oscar and Annie Chandler Coln. He served in the U.S. Army, and prior to his retirement from the Acme Cloth Reel Company; Mr. Coln was employed with Camperdown Mill until its closing. He was a member of Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church and a member of the Masons. Mr. Coln is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Ann Cunningham and her husband, Jimmy of Pensacola, FL, and Nancy Jones and her husband, Steve of Greenville; three grandchildren, James Scott Cunningham and his wife, Tiffany of Pensacola, FL, Stephanie Ross and her husband, Jerry of Hattiesburg, MS, and Melissa Thomas and her husband, Matthew of Greenville; a sister, Carolyn Friedel of Atlanta, GA; and a brother, Jack Coln of Simpsonville, SC. He was predeceased by two brothers, Alvin and Aaron Coln; and a sister, Ruth Coln. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 17, 2006 at the chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Visitation will be held from 12:00 ? 1:15 Tuesday prior to the service. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to St. Francis Hospice, 414-A Pettigru Street, Greenville, SC 29601. The family will be at the home of Nancy and Steve Jones, 206 Lansfair Way.
