I was good friends with Janet for a very long time - I met her in 1988 when Copeland Middle School hired a pretty young guy to be a substitute music teacher. Being from the Buckeye State, I connected with Janet's midwestern roots (even though she was from "the state up north"). She also loved music and as a musician, we shared a lot of interesting conversations about music. I think she got a kick out of me and I know I got a kick out of her. I found out several weeks after her passing - but had the great pleasure of a phone call from her son, John, who realized that I was a little in shock, having not been in frequent contact with Janet in recent months. I will really miss her but I'll always appreciate a special friendship that we shared for some 35 years or so. Wishing all who were close to her my condolences too.

Janet and I had many good times. One of my favorite memories is when she and her friend Ginger came up to our summer home in Boothbay Harbor. We had a great three days visit, filled with fun and Janet's infectious laughter. Rest in Peace, my friend.

I am so sorry that I was just made aware of Janet’s passing. I worked at Cascades for several years and she was definitely one of my favorites. She was always smiling and talking, if someone was there to listen, especially about the grandchildren. She was loved and will be missed 💔💔💔
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
