Jayne Ann Williams Pellicano, 63, beloved wife of Daniel Pellicano, passed away Monday, April 15, 2024, and joined her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ in heaven.

Born in Marietta, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Ted R. Williams and Bonnie Warfield Williams.

She was a 1978 Graduate of Marietta High School, Marietta, Ohio and graduated from of Ohio University in 1982. Jayne became a certified teacher and worked in private schools in both Florida and South Carolina before joining the Greenville County Schools in 1998. Jayne severed as an educator in varying capacities at Blythe Academy of Languages for 22 years including Special Needs, Kindergarten, First and Second Grades. The children she taught were more than students, they were her kids wanting the best for each of them and celebrating every achievement with them. She was chosen as Teacher of the Year for Blythe Academy in 2013.

Jayne loved gardening and planting flowers in her yard, a love she acquired from her mother, Bonnie. She enjoyed walking with friends and was a coffee enthusiast as well as a music lover who played handbells and piano.

She was a member of Overbrook Baptist Church for over 30 years where she was a member of the handbell choir and served on the weekday education committee.

In addition to her husband of 38 years, Jayne is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Jayne Pellicano (Seth Brandt); brother, Michael Williams (Jill Williams); sister, Kathy Preston (Wayne Preston). She was a devoted friend, beloved mother figure, aunt, and grandmother (GiGi) to many others.

The family will be receiving friends on Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. at Overbrook Baptist Church and followed by a Memorial Service at 1:30 p.m.

I was deeply saddened by Jane’s passing. I met her many years ago while teaching at Blythe and I always admired her love for her students and her heartfelt dedication. Jane was one of those teachers that really touch lives. When I think of her I also remember her endless kindness and soft ways which made her very approachable and welcoming. There were no ups and downs, Jane had a drama free personality and the most wonderful smile. Please accept my deepest sympathy.

I am so sorry for all of you to hear of Jayne's passing. We were classmates at MHS and she was a very great friend! She will be missed by all her classmates, she was a very special and wonderful person.

I'm so sorry to here of Jayne's passing. She was a good friend and one of the nicest classmates i knew at MSHS.

I’m very sorry for your loss. Jayne was sweet and kind. We started walking in August of 2020 during Covid so I’ve only known her with her illness. She was bright and spunky. We walked nearly everyday. We both got cold easily but we kept walking. We would always laugh because always our conversations were of food and the news. She loved politics and was ready to take over the presidency. She taught me something everyday. I dearly loved her. I know she is in a better place because she loved the lord. Prayers to you all.

I wanted to share my condolences with Jayne’s family during this difficult time! I had the privilege of working with Jayne at Blythe Academy and I will never forget how welcoming and kind she was when I was a new teacher at Blythe. She was a treasure to the Blythe Academy community and touched so many lives through her service as an educator. I will especially remember Jayne’s sister helping create the most spectacular Dr. Seuss decorations for her classroom one year when she taught first grade! You all are in my thoughts during this difficult time!

I worked with Jayne at Blythe and she was a friend to all she met. I will never forget her love for her students and how she cared for them every day. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
