Jeanette Crowe Gibson, 95, of Easley, beloved wife of the late James Gibson, passed away Friday, June 24, 2022.
Born in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Ola Burnette Crowe and General Dee Crowe, Sr.
Jeanette was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church. She was a beautician who owned and operated her own shop for many years when she lived in Greenville, and then had a shop for a brief time when she lived in Seneca. Jeanette loved to travel with her husband “Jim”. She had a loving heart and was loved by many; her presence will be forever missed, but her memory will carry on through those that had the pleasure of knowing and loving her.
She is survived by two grandchildren, Kimberly M. Skelton (Tim) and Richard Christopher Holland; a great granddaughter, Brittany Norton (Jon);two great grandsons, Levi and Laken Norton; three stepdaughters, Cheri Burmester (Jim), Brenda Anderson, and Angie McLaughlin (Sean); seven step grandchildren, Christopher James, Austin, David, Kurtis, Lara, Seamus, and Dylan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her loving husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, William Richard Holland; a great granddaughter, Megan Brooke Skelton; step son-in-law, Mark Anderson; two sisters, Ovelee Hughes and Barbara Taylor; and three brothers, Tommy Crowe, G.D. Crowe, Jr., and Donald Crowe.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, June 28, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Northwest, with the funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m. in the Northwest Chapel. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery West .
