Jerald Edward Crain

Jerald Edward Crain, 92, husband of the late Ruby Kathleen Cottle Crain, died Wednesday, March 5, 2008.
Born in Rock Hill, he was the son of the late William Edward and Bennie Elizabeth Dickert Crain.
Mr. Crain was retired from the US Postal Service, after thirty-four years, as Director of Mail Processing and a member of Bethel Baptist Church, where he served as church treasurer for many years. Surviving are three daughters, Patsy Carol Miller of Madison, GA, Gerry Crain Dacus of Greenville, Beth Finley and her husband, Gene, of Geneva, IL; a sister, Maggie Ruth Jones of Greenville; six grandchildren, Theresa Miller Heitz, David Miller, Donna Dacus Barber, Matt Miller, Josh and Jake Finley; and thirteen great grandchildren.
He was also predeceased by a son-in-law, Ron Miller and great grandson. The funeral service will be Sunday, March 9, 2008 at 3:00 pm at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest.
Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:30 pm to 2:45 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Greenville Office, 16-A Brozzini Court, Greenville, SC 29615 or Vista Care Hospice Foundation, 15 Brendan Way, Suite 100, Greenville, SC 29615. The family will be at 32 Blue Mountain Drive, Greenville.
