Jerome “Jerry” Keith Moseley, Jr., 92, of Greenville, husband of the late June McCuen Moseley, died Saturday, February 24, 2024.
Born in Savannah, GA, he was the son of the late Jerome Keith Moseley, Sr and the late June Hanney Moseley. Jerry was of the Baptist faith, a graduate of Greenville High School, attended Clemson University, served honorably in the US Army, and retired from employment with Greenville County as Director of Indigent Medical Services and Interim-Director of Emergency Medical Services.
The focus of Jerry’s life was family. His greatest excitement came from being with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, enthusiastically attending their sporting events and activities whenever possible. Additionally, Jerry enjoyed lake-life, hunting and fishing.
He is survived by daughter Margaret Moseley Waldrop (Carl); son, Wyatt Keith Moseley (Colleen); granddaughter, Ashley Waldrop Nettles (Jason); granddaughter, Kathryn Moseley Higginbotham (Austin); grandson, Wyatt Keith Moseley, Jr., (Morgan); granddaughter, Gabrielle Moseley Kamaka (Matt); great grandchildren, Ellie, Maggie, Bowen, Paisley, Reece, and Easton; brother, Robert Moseley COL USA (ret) (Ellen); sister, Malinda Moseley Epps (Steve); and sister, Maranda Moseley Street (Tom).
In addition to his beloved wife, he was preceded in death by his sister, Virginia Hall; and stepmother, Vivian Moseley.
The family is especially appreciative of the exceptional, loving care that was afforded Jerry during his final days. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Open Arms Hospice, 1836 W Georgia Rd, Simpsonville, SC 29680.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 27, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Downtown. Family Graveside Service will be Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
