Jerry Edward Tucker, 86, husband of Shirley Tucker, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2024.

Born in Greensboro, NC, he was the son of the late Edward and Lillie Steelman Tucker.

In addition to his wife of 53 years, left to cherish Jerry’s memory are his daughter, Sharon Finlay; and his son, Terry M. Tucker (Tina).

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents as well as a daughter, Tammy Johnson; a son, Brian Bailey; and a sister, Ellen Lyon.

A graveside service will held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 24, 2024 in Greenville Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Auction For a Kaws, 301 Haywood Road, Suite 7, Greenville, SC 29607 https://auctionforakaws.org/donations/which is where he received his beloved canine companion, Celeste.

Dear Shirley, I’m so sorry for your loss. I have such nice memories of sitting with you and Jerry on your carport, with Celeste of course. We enjoyed visiting and just talking about our lives. I remember as a kid when uncle Jerry and Aunt Winnie took me and my brothers fishing in Mauldin. Uncle Jerry always had a great story to tell that made the day. He always made us laugh and I never stopped calling him uncle even after he divorced my aunt. My dad truly mentioned Jerry Tucker every time we watched NASCAR. My dad is missed and I will never forget Jerry Tucker.
