Jerry Kenneth Wooten, 71, of Greenville, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2022.
Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late Alvin and Mattie Wooten.
Jerry proudly served his country for over eight-years as a member of the United States Air Force. He was an avid collector of coins and vinyl records. If you knew Jerry, you knew he was a man of his word; a true gentlemen. He had a compassionate heart and was a great caretaker to those in need, especially his loved ones. Jerry had a great sense of humor and always enjoyed a good laugh. He was a wonderful partner, father, grandfather and friend that meant so much to others. He will be missed but his memory and legacy will carry on through his family.
He is survived by daughter, Tracy Klarman; sons, Steven Wooten and Michael Yonce (Angie); grandchildren, Seth, Anthony, Kevin, Michelle, and Austin (Jennifer); and great-grandchildren, Gavin, Jaden, Jeremiah, Collin, Myah, Hayden, Izzy, and Josie.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his significant other of 28 years, Carolyn Yonce; wife, Judy Wooten; and a sister, Betty Elaine White.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Mountain View Memorial Park.
