Jimmie H. McDowell

Jimmie H. McDowell, 76, husband of Bobbie E. Turner McDowell, died Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at Easley Living Center. Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late Frank Edward and Mary Belle Abercrombie McDowell. Mr. McDowell was retired from Gulf Oil Company and was a member of Clearview Baptist Church. He was a member of the Sam Poe Masonic Lodge, the Hejaz Shriners and was a United States Army Veteran. Surviving, in addition to his wife of 55 years, are two sons, Jimmie McDowell and Frank McDowell both of Easley; five grandchildren, Chad, Corey, Savannah, Ryan, and Jennifer McDowell; and two great grandchildren. Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, June 10, 2006 at 1:30 pm at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held prior to the services from 11:45 am until 1:00 pm at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The family will be at their respective homes.
